Clinton-Massie Middle School Track & Field competed Monday night at the Waynesville Invitational, highlighted by a historic, record-breaking performance from the boys 4x200 meter relay team. The Clinton-Massie girls turned in a strong showing, finishing 3rd overall with 72.5 points, behind Waynesville (100.5) and Bellbrook (79). The biggest moment of the night came on the boys side, where the 4x200 relay team of Carter Harris, Finnigan Murray, Kolton Rudduck, and Mason Binder set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD with a time of 1:43.67. The new mark breaks the previous record of 1:43.82, set back in 2003 by S. Dooley, A. Asher, B. Hollingsworth, and C. Medley—a record that had stood for 23 years. Additional highlights from the meet included: Girls Highlights: Chaylen Trampler dominated the throws, winning 1st in discus (85-9) and placing 3rd in shot put (32-7). Crosley Webb captured 1st place in the 200 hurdles (32.87). The 4x100 relay team (Arledge, Ashley, Doyle, McHale) earned a 1st place finish. Strong finishes from Gabby Scherz, Nina McHale, Sophie Ashley, and others helped secure the team’s podium finish. Boys Highlights: Carter Harris took 1st place in the 200 hurdles (50.05). The 4x400 relay team finished 2nd overall. The boys team placed 8th overall with 33 points, with contributions across multiple events. It was a night to remember for the Falcons, as a long-standing school record fell and both teams continued to show growth, depth, and competitiveness early in the season.
