Doyle’s Perfect Day at the Plate Powers Falcons Past Greeneview, 9-5

The Clinton-Massie Varsity Falcons used timely hitting and a standout performance from Jackson Doyle to defeat the Greeneview Varsity Rams 9-5 on Wednesday. Doyle was nearly unstoppable at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4. He sparked the offense throughout the game with singles in the first, third, and fourth innings before delivering a two-run home run to left field in the fifth to help seal the victory. Greeneview struck early, taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning after Ayden Charles delivered a sacrifice fly and Matthew Phillips stole home. The Rams added another run in the third on a walk by Ryver Sweet to extend the lead to 3-0. Clinton-Massie responded in the bottom of the third inning, tying the game behind a clutch double from Peyton Warren, an RBI single by Doyle, and a sacrifice fly from Noah Gorman. The Falcons took control in the fourth inning with a big offensive surge. Andrew Smith blasted a home run to left field, and Gorman followed with a two-run single down the right field line to give Clinton-Massie the lead for good. Doyle added insurance in the fifth inning with his two-run homer, pushing the Falcons’ lead to 9-5
