Falcons Compete at OHSAA Division III District Meet; Zander Mills Claims District Title

The Clinton-Massie boys track and field team competed at the OHSAA Division III District Meet hosted at New Richmond this past Thursday and Saturday, finishing 8th overall out of 14 teams in a highly competitive field. The Falcons turned in several strong performances across multiple events, highlighted by a district championship from senior Zander Mills. Mills captured the District Title in the Pole Vault, earning a first-place finish and punching his ticket to the regional meet at Piqua this Thursday, May 28. In addition to his championship performance, Mills also added a seventh-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles. Clinton-Massie had several other athletes earn podium finishes during the meet: * 5th Place Finishers * CJ Sheldon — Long Jump * Chase Malatt — 300 Meter Hurdles * 4x100 Meter Relay Team — Zander Mills, CJ Sheldon, Daniel Norman, and Andrew Smith * 6th Place Finisher * Kolton Ellis — Pole Vault * 7th Place Finishers * Zander Mills — 110 Meter Hurdles * Caleb Werling — 800 Meter Run * Alex Sherman — Discus * 8th Place Finishers * CJ Sheldon — 100 Meter Dash * Caleb Werling — 1600 Meter Run The Falcons also celebrated numerous career-best performances throughout the district meet, capping off a strong postseason showing for the program. Congratulations to all Clinton-Massie athletes and coaches on a great district performance, and best of luck to Zander Mills as he advances to the regional meet at Piqua this week representing Falcon Country.
