Lady Falcons Shine at OHSAA Division III District Meet; Oberweiser Claims District Championship

The Clinton-Massie girls track and field team turned in an impressive performance at the OHSAA Division III District Meet at New Richmond this past Thursday and Saturday, highlighted by a district championship and several podium finishes against a strong field of competition. Leading the way for the Lady Falcons was Paige Oberweiser, who captured the District Championship in the Discus to earn a first-place finish and advance to the regional meet. Oberweiser’s championship performance continued a strong postseason for the Falcons in the throwing events. Clinton-Massie had several athletes place during the district meet: * 1st Place * Paige Oberweiser — Discus — DISTRICT CHAMPION * 2nd Place * Azlynn Green — Discus * Azlynn Green — Shot Put * 4th Place * Olivia Carpenter — 100 Meter Dash * 5th Place * Kailey Wax — Shot Put * Olivia Carpenter — Long Jump * 4x100 Meter Relay Team — Rosie Hall, Ava Davis, Bia Burton, and Olivia Carpenter * 7th Place * Allie Roberts — 400 Meter Dash * Ava Paytes — Pole Vault The Lady Falcons also celebrated numerous strong performances and personal records throughout the meet as they competed among the top athletes in Division III. Congratulations to all Clinton-Massie athletes and coaches on a tremendous district meet performance, and best of luck to Paige Oberweiser and all regional qualifiers as they continue postseason competition next week.
