Massie carried that momentum into the final set, finishing strong with a 25-18 victory to take the match. The Falcons once again had a balanced attack, with four players finishing in double digits. Braylee Burton led the way with 17 points, while Emmett Burton and Tayla Miller each added 14. Payton Young finished with 12. Massie stayed aggressive at the net throughout the match while also coming up with several big defensive plays to keep rallies alive. Emmett Burton, Payton Young and Parker Webb came through with several key saves during the night. Facing a tough Fairfield team, the Falcons refused to back down after the opening-set loss and continued to battle point after point. “Proud of the fight they gave tonight!”- Coach Young The three-set comeback was another strong showing for the CMMS 8th Grade girls and a great example of the toughness and determination this group continues to bring to the court.
